Default 1 inch body lift?

I just want to do T-bar crank and shackles and want to fit 31's but don't want to do any trimming. Could I just get a 2 inch lift and cut the blocks down to 1'' and get some shorter bolts? I don't want to do the whole 2'' because I really don't like the looks of a body lift, but I think I could live with just 1''. Thanks. Mitch

1" body lift? Why even bother installing it. lol... Whether it's a 1" bodylift or 2" bodylift you are going to see the frame anyway so you might as well stick with the 2" BL.

what tires are you looking at?

cause it seems that certain brands of 31's will fit without trimming and just the crank and shackles as long as the tire is not too aggressive.

I understand what you are wanting to do. I'm looking to do a 2" BL now that I have my 31x10.50-15 Firestone ATs on my Jimmy and needed to trim (only the inside of the wheelwell) and a little hammer time. I don't like how much frame shows on a 2", but could live with it. I dont' really need 2" though. 1" would get mine room to spare.

I guess if you could source repalcement bolts that are 1" or so longer, get new biscuits (bushings) and fab some spacers you could get it done with a minimum of fuss.

Tell you what I won't do.....I won't buy a new 2" kit and cut it down to 1". If I buy a new 2" kit....the truck is getting 2" and I'll get someone to fab some sliders to make the frame look less LARGE under the body. With 2" BL and the right offset wheels you can run 32" or 33" tires.

I was thinking the Cooper Discovery STT in 31x10.5x15. With an after market set of rims with 4'' backspacing.

If all you are looking for is a yes or no answer, then yes. If you really want to modify the pucks you can and just get the same bolt but just shorter. Before you modify the body lift, test fit the wheels on your truck since you will have 2" shackles and cranking the tbars 1.5". Maybe you wont need the body lift.

Thanks. The actual diameter of the tires are 30.75. Any ideas about the bumper bracket?

The bumper brackets could cause an issue since they are designed for the 2" bl, so you might need to make your own brackets or try to see if your bumper will bolt up to the stock location.

I'm going to call PA Monday to see if they could maybe help me out with anything. Thanks for the replies. I've installed body lifts before, but not with the bumper brackets.
