2-3 inch front suspension lift

2-3 inch front suspension lift
Been reading the tutorials here, and still haven got the answers im lookin for, so I'll just ask... I want to put 32" rubber under my 97 4dr 4wd. Planning a 2 inch body lift, and a shackle flip on the rear. that oughta gimme enough room in the back, but I'm still having a hard time with the front end. I know a t-bar lift should give me close to the needed room, but I just dont like the idea of such a mod messing up my cv joints and such. So my question is, what would be the most efficient (read cost effective lol) way to raise the nose of my trucks front suspension up 2 to 3 inches?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The only way to lift the front is by lowering the front axle. You can,
A) Lower the entire axle with the 5" or 6" kits (Superlift, Trailmaster, BDS) or,
B) Lower the control-arms/wheel-hubs via torsion bar crank
Neither option is ideal, A is expensive and B can have long term effects with steeper steering/CV/balljoint angles.
Unfortunately, those are the only two options (short of doing custom work)

Rough Country makes a 2.5 inch lift with a differential drop. They just redesigned it and it is no more than $500 or $600 and will give you what you need.

Do you need springs with this kit or does it use stock? And should I regear with this lift and 31s?

with a body lift and the rough country lift you can clear 32's no problem. just make sure that when you install the lift that you put it to the 21" ride height that they get recommend or you will run into problems with your cv's.

We dont have springs in a 4x4, just torsion bars and shocks
