Default 2nd gen remote filter w/ body lift

I'm replacing the remote filter/cooler hoses on a '95 Blazer. In the future I want to do a 2" body lift. Anyone who has done one and had to relocate the filter, is this done because the lines going to the radiator from the filter are short, or is it because the lines from the engine to the filter are short?

I made the lines for the cooler 2" longer and the ones to the filter the stock length. I'm guessing I got them backwards, but I wanted to keep the filter in the stock location.

I got them backwards. Oh well, live and learn. Oil leak repaired for under $11. Still ready for a body lift though.

Thanks for looking.

EDIT:

Fabricating 2" body lift.
2"x3"x3" 1/4 wall tubing - $26
M12-1.75x140mm bolts - About $35

We'll see how it turns out without dropping the filter.
