I have seen a sfa blazer in person. He used coils instead of leaf springs. Said it rode just as good if not better then the stock ifs. It did very good on the trails too. He has somewhat of a build thread on this forum Never Enough.....SAS blaZeR2 - Great Lakes 4x4. The largest offroad forum in the Midwest

I've never rode in a coil spring s-series but all the leaf sprung ones ride better than they did when they were lifted factory setup.

Until ord releases the coil spring setup imho that kinda rig is gonna take way longer to design than a leaf spring front end. Personally I don't see the point of wanting coils and links beside just to brag or on a rockcrawling rig. You can get more than enough flex on a street rig from leaf springs.

I live 3 hrs from you, your more then welcome to come look at my sfa...haha. I ran the 6" superlift last year. I sold it to a friend, so you could see that install as well. Install time is definitly greater on sfa.

Spring over, spring perches that borderline lift blocks, and they still cut it up just to fit bigger tires. Makes me go hmmmm

yea, Im really starting to lean to the SFA swap, looks like a much smarter move in the long run if done correctly(safely).. does any one have any
ideas on what to do about the transfer case, like i have the np236
the 4 button job,,, will that need to be swapped as well????
thanks every one.....

Swap out the transfer case for a 231 out of a first gen blazer. it will have the yoke already on the transfer case.

the time you put into swapping it to manual now, will be about the same amount of time required to diagnose why the push button is malfunctioning. You will also lose the auto 4x4 regardless.

no reprograming needed. most people completly remove abs system all together and install a metering box from a first gen as well.

if your speedo is way off after swap, ecm reprogram may be necessary to set gears and tire size.
