Are you asking about lifts in general or if anyone has lifted an '87 Jimmy?

Seen couple of lifted Jimmy's on local event here, sure there are complete kits available around like these:
1977-1987 Chevy / GMC K5 Blazer/Fullsize Jimmy 4WD 8" lift kit 133H | BDS Suspension
Tuff Country EZ Ride Chevy GMC Suspension Lift Kits

if you have the big gmc jimmy a 6 inch suspension lift is probably your most trouble free lift. anything bigger is when you start running into driveshaft and steering issues. dont get me wrong its nothing you cant take care of but a 6 inch lift with some 35-36 inch tires with half ton running gear is perfect to start with

I was thinking about putting the 6" Rough Country lift on my 98 Jimmy. Never installed anything like that before, want to try do it myself.

Has anyone put that lift on before? It's $1200 right now, worth the money or is there something better out?
