Heres a pic of the ball joint flipped courtesy of nismos link... The BJ is on the underside of the arm and you can see the outline where it used to sit on top of the arm.

granted these are pictures of 2wd s10's but the idea is the same for any lifted IFS setup.

looks like no adapter plate is needed for the flip?

Nope, Just remove the ball joint and mount it to the bottom of the arm.

I know this is a VERY OLD post but I think it should be brought back up because I did this and it was a life and CASH saver!!! (hope i'm not breaking any rule)

Check out the ball joint flip on my 97 Blazer 4x4 with spacers and then look at how MUCH it corrected my neg camber!!!

Yes.... I think people should look into this more often, rather than spending the massive amounts of money to get new a arms. It's SUCH an easy and cheap fix (free if you don't buy the spacers or can fabricate them yourself)! I haven't had ANY problems after the mod and my truck drives like a dream compared to the way it did before. It straightened out my CV axles A LOT too and they don't get tugged on nearly as much while turning or flexing. I just want people to know about this, because I was having a helluva time figuring out a solution without spending 100's and 100's of dollars... followed by a lot of work. I really think this conversation/thread should be turned into a sticky or how-to.... IMO

No I bought them... ill post the site a little later when i can find it. You have to go buy new (longer) bolts when you put in spacers though. Just the flip alone makes a helluva difference though, believe it or not.
