Rear springs aren't strong enough to carry the truck level with tools, spare, air tank, food, water in the back when we go wheeling. Doing add-a-leaf to improve rear rate. We'll end up tossing the rear bumper this winter and building a new one when (not so much if) we do the body lift. Plan is to run 265/75s all around which are just over 31" tall. I will need spacers or different wheels to pull that off without rub.

Switching to MTs on back eventually or getting another pair of wheels and using those for wheeling. I don't plan to stress the IFS with too much traction.

The two previous trucks in this thread are SICK. IT'd been nice if GM had made a ZR2 4dr. So much is already ready to go. I want to add a 8.5 eventually too. No SFA on this one. The IFS will keep us humble and off the garanteed damage trails.
Just to make sure, your saying you have no body lift on this truck? I like it, it still looks clean. I think I am going to have to crank and shackle mine now. I have a 2" bl and 31" MT's on mine.

A little off topic but is there any disadvantage to cranking the t-bar?

I have the same. Do you have pics? My rear springs are soft, have you tried a booster spring?
