my friend has some brand new leaf 2 1/2 inch leafs he aint using. I was thinking of cutting one of the in half and making my own add a leaf. May want to heat them and bend them a bit more for more lift. Anything I should know on this subject before I start?

 

There are a couple of how to's floating around on the job. I took a leaf pack from a z85 package blazee and then added leafs from my old packs...just trimmed to fit. Gave me the lift i wanted.

 

I'm about to do the same thing. My leafs are shot, (like, inverting at both ends! They're whipped!) so I got a set from a junkyard. I'm planning on doing as warthog did, and use the longest leaf of the original pack with the eyes cut off as an add a leaf. I'm hoping to get as good results as he did!

If I can just get an oil leak fixed, I could start working on the leafs!
