yes i am comparing the pa 2" lift to the bds 2" lift
i think i am going the bds way
its the same price, just now on 4wheel parts
on pa's site it is listed for 260 as well as the bds one
so you get better instructions, the tow hooks raised, and in my opinion, a better quality kit
you could get it for the 96
they are ok but in my opinion bds sound better
from what i have heard it isnt really hard to do
i looked through the online manuel for the bds to get a basic idea
and it doesnt seem too complicated
heres the link to the manuel to give you an idea
seems like most time is spent making sure all the wires have anough clearence
2" body lift

The 96 kit is cheaper than the 98+ kits. Thats a little lower than average price you'll find..I'd say if youre going to do it, get it on sale.

Stay away from shops...I know 4 Wheel Parts charges $500 to install a body lift on a s-series.

And like stevo said, its pretty straight forward, hardest part is tracking down wires

I've got a 2' body lift and 2' shackles/tbar. You wont find much higher than 2' because the wires and lines only have so much play in them. As does steering, fan shroud clearance...etc..

if it is bolted to your frame, i think its aftermarket
welded is factory
dont see where it would make a differece as you are only lifting the body
but id rather be safe then sorry

I thought it said the bumper couldnt be used for towing after the lift dont recall seeing anything about a frame mounted hitch being unusable.
