Hello All...Imma a big time blazer forum fan...I actually just signed up tonight but ive been searching these forums and the like since i bought my truck in 2004...I drove a 98 s10 pick up al thru high school and bought my 2000 2dr blazer 4x4 my freshmen year in college...I just bought a 94 jimmy two months ago since it was a good price and my wife wanted it...I have modded my truck alot since i bought it but as school and athletics became more demanding i kinda jus stuck to driving it. But I need new tires for my truck and for some reason with help of this site and s10 crew cab i have been inpired to go for an more agressive look...I ve seached this site high and low for facts and ideas..but i thought it would be really cool if u guys helped me deciede on some key points on what to do with my truck...and i plan on all this being done by the end of Jan.
So far my truck has a 2 inch suspension lift...the elusive skidz cut out flares painted to match and 265 70 r16 bfg long terrains on zq8 rims...(i was trying to copy the zr2...shoulda bought one but no patience!) I was going to go with a body lift and go 265 75 r16 all terrains but i saw so many folks on here getting 33s to fit with out the SOA conversion lifts it makes me wonder if i can go 285 75 or even 305 70...but i was more leaning towards 285 75...also a light bar in front...also wanted to know what u guys thought of the truspeed sensors recalb the sell too...I really jus wanted to say hi and get the word from guys who have been where im trying to go like RCars2 and sledneck16...I want it to look good AND drive well on and off road...when i first got it i wanted to cross the zr2 and zq8 looks to make somethin unique...ill post pics of it cleaned up...sorry this post is soooo long!
sorry i thik i put this in the wrong section...Newbie

I think he was trimming his fenders because he wheels his truck, pretty hard too. He's quite rough on the IFS parts. Are you looking for the look or off roading?

I really want the option of being able to go off the road as well the look...I dont want the wheels and not be able to use them...

Get a Hypertech Power Controller to fix your speedometer. That's what I have and it's super easy to use. To run 33's most people crank the torsions and add shackles to rear but I'm not a big fan of that because cranking the torsions will cause your ride to be more stiff and cause your from suspension parts to wear out alot faster like balljoints, pitman arm and ect. i would just do a 2" body lift instead, you already have a 2" suspension lift so there's no need to mess with your torsion bars.

Actually it was the rough country one..came with C-arms shocks and 1 inch shackles for a cool 400 (thanx ebay
) I think the only merrit to the lift kit over the do it yourself t-bar lift is the control arms...truck has 130,000 and no ball joint replacements...although i think my mechanic said the boot or somethin is torn on the drivers side so I expect it to need replacing soon...ive only been wheelin a few times..got a citation on campus for parkin on a huge hill behind the dorms..3 stories high... would 33x11.5 be better than 33x12.5 as far as rubbing goes?

Well I went with 33x10.5 because I am using stock wheels. They rub the frame at full lock, which wasn't of any surprise. I can't remember if that was with the 1.25" spacers or not. I like the look of the wider tires, but the 10.50s are more practical for me.
