ok so i just got a stock jimmy (98) want to put some mud tires on it, i hear you can go 30x9.5 on the stock rims, and be good no rub or issues... also want to know how to do the torsion key and shackle, leveling ( poor man lift ), some people say its not good for your truck, and some say it doesnt hurt anything... give me some advice please..

 

hey man you can do a tbar crank and shackle lift it dosent hurt anything i went 1.5 in the front and 2 in the rear with shackles and a addaleaf it still rides nice and didnt mess up my allighnment and im pretty sure you could get 31 10.50's on that thing with a 2 inch lift but you might ask somebody who has a regular blazer mine is a zr2 and im running 4inch offset wheels with 31 10.50's there is alot of info on this forum about these kind of lifts a search should bring up plenty and you should start in the suspension section of the forum

 

Welcome from New York. You just have to check the correct threads for info but you can run 30x9.5's at stock height but the t-bar crank and shakels looks better. Take a look at my photos, thats how I am set up with BFG All Terrains.

 

thanks guys.. so how would i go about doing the t-bar crank, new t-bar, because i seen a set on a webite with shackles it was called a leveling kit.. is this correct, it was like 200.00 give or take.

also i was wondering, how my rear tires are in the quarter more, how would i go about getting them to stick out a little.. i want to catch mud on the truck not have it all under fenders... i seen some aluminum/magnesium 2in spacers, but they were not hub centric- they were lug centric from what i hear those ones are junk... alot of play and vibration... can anyone give me feed back on this issue?
