Default Leaf springs for torsion bar delete?

Has anyone done a torsion bar delete using leafs instead of coils? I want to do a delete and get a couple extra inches, however coilovers are extremely expensive. So has anyone put leaf springs on your front suspension or is it a dumb idea thats doomed to fail. Also what would it take to put the leaf springs under my axles in the rear?

It's been done many times by people removing the independent front suspension and swapping in a solid front axle. There even used to be a kit you could buy that made it a fairly easy option.

If you're thinking instead of leaf springs while keeping your current front independent suspension setup then I really doubt it's possible.

Doing a rear axle flip (leafs under the axle) is pretty common with bigger suspension lifts. Look through the builds section. There's quite a few different examples of both mods. Rexmburns' Small 96 Blazer Build is the first one that comes to my mind, but there's lots of others.
