a buddy and I are both considering putting on a 3" leveling kit on our blazers, well i have a 2000 2wd blazer, and he has a f-150. I've seen this kits on ebay for less than $100. Any suggestion? Is this easy enough to do myself. I'm not a whiz mechanic, but can usually follow instructions or a video well.

I've been told you have to replace your shocks if you do this. Is this true? If you do, what kind of shocks do I have to get in place of my current regular shocks? Any particular size of anything that I would have to add to accomodate the 3" leveling spacers?
