Default lift for ZR2

Hello I just bought a 2001 blazer ZR2 and I want to put 33s on it. I keep hearing The R/C 2.5 lift will only give me 1.5 inches of lift cause of the factory 2 inch lift. Is this true and why? Wouldn't it just add to what's already there?

Body lift and a little trimming would be more effective.

But to answer your question...

I don't know of a lot of ZR2's that have installed it, but I think I've seen on the ZR2 site from one of the guys that he got about 2" out of it, which is what most people get anyway.

what do you plan on using it for? offroading at all? or just a DD all pavement?

If you plan on wheeling it, the RC 2.5 will not give you the clearance you need for 33's. If it only sees the road then you would be ok with a little flare trimming and the RC lift.
