Thumbs up Love your Blazer!

Hey I love what you've done to your blazer! It looks Great. I was wondering where did you get the shackles from because the link you had earlier in the thread doesnt work. Also what kind of pro comp shocks do you have? I gotta get new shocks and raise my back end up because its sagging. So I figure adding new shocks, 2inch shackles, and tightning the torsion bars should level it out good/as well as raise it some. What do you think? Thanks Man!

Thanks. Here is the link to the seller I bought them from:
http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/wheelsnparts/

The shocks are ProComp ES3000's I only put them on the rear. They aren't sprung so you will actually see a quarter inch drop in the rear if you just swap out for those. I'm very happy with the shocks so far. The shackles will definitely give you enough lift in the rear to level you out though. Sounds like a good plan. Make sure you get an alignment after you play with your torsion bars though.

Okay. So I guess getting a bit stiffer spring would eliminate that drop or what?

Thanks For your responce

No, if you put the lift shackles on you can level out the front to match the rear. In my case I had to nearly max out my torsion bars on both of my trucks just to get them up to be level with the rear.

Default 2 inch Lift

I have a slightly different series truck. It's a 94 s15 Jimmy, But I figure the information is about the same anyways. Are those the stock lingth shock or did you have to modify the shock mounts any? I have the shackels anf everything ready for the lift. I was just cerious. thanks

I found the stock shocks limited the spring droop by about an inch. I upgraded to a pair of ProComp ES3000's in the rear that are a but longer. Very happy with the results. In fact, I have a set of 4 brand new ones I am trying to unload as a result. (don't ask) lol.

hi, although it does look good why did you choose red and not blue?
Did you have to tweak the front?

Red matched the stickers on my truck...That's about it lol. As for your second question, I assume you are asking if I had to crank the torsion bars. If so, then yes.

Hey Mav, sorry I haven't been checking back in this blog as much. Turns out I'm not going to get them lasered, I'm going to make them out of 2" x 1/4" flat bar 8 1/2" long. (that's 2" longer than stock on my '02) With the 4 1/2" space center to center on the bolts (stock) it should give a realistic 2" of lift.
The brace inbetween will either be rectangular tubing or channel cut to 3" - the ID of the stock shackles & TIG welded in place. Then have the 1/2" holes for the bolts drilled through both sides at the same time to assure they're square to eachother. Little deburring etc & off to powder coating!
I'm not sure on a price if I go into "semi production" of these at work... too much of that & the company will want P.O.'s etc, but I'm thinking around the $45 mark. As for the powder coating at a company next door to my work, I'd have to look into that. Black & white are common colors they use so that would be cheaper, be it flat black, semi gloss, gloss or textured.

PM me & we'll talk... anyone else too for that matter

I doubt it, but if enough people want them I can get work orders, P.O.'s & have them lasered & formed then.

HEY Rotidog,
Thanks for the reply a little late though lol, i went ahead and bought some off eBay about a month and a half ago. They were supper easy to put on to. it took me about 10mins to pull both and get them back on. They were powered coated black and all for 45 i believe can't beat the price. So far they have been great i haven't had any problems. I need to get some pics up on here because of my few mods. New grill and the bow tie painted red, then added fog lights 1.25ish tbar crank and p235/75/15 wildcat tires. Looks pretty good. The only problem was the front end getting aligned, but that's for another day. Hope it all works out for ya and thanks for the offer just a little late though.

Matt
