When you put the 2" shackles on do have to put the 2"blocks as well or just the shackles

Unless you have done a spring over axle conversion, blocks will lower the truck. So if you were to do a 2" shackle lift and 2" lift blocks, you would theoretically be back to stock ride height.

You would add something beyond stock with +2" shackles and -2" blocks: more stress to the rear suspension components

Yeah...also...blocks = bad idea even if they would increase the ride height.

Can you tell me where you trimmed and/or provide pictures...? I don't want to stress my CVs either, but still want 31s. I have decided not to do the RC lift and am on the fence about the PA body lift. I'm ordering shackles now so I guess I've made up my mind about 1/2 of the deal. Do those goodyears actually measure a full 31 or are they 30.5 like most...?

Truck looks good. That's where I wanted to be with my White '99 blazer before someone else decided to total it.

Yeah, I haven't tested the clearance under flex yet so I might have to do a little trimming. But as-is I have only trimmed the valence (air dam) and beat in the lip running the length of the fender just inside. I'll get some pics up.

31x10.5 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities. They will fit with some minor front valence trimming and fender massaging. They will also rub on your sway bar, and frame at full lock, but it's not an issue if you learn not to turn all the way.

No....2" shackles = 2" of lift.
