Is a shackle a shackle?
I'm looking to do some suspension repairs here pretty soon and figure I'll add some lift shackles and crank my torsion bars while I'm in there. The question i have is this...Is one lift shackle as good or better than any other? I've been looking around and the prices vary anywhere from $35 all the way up to almost $90. here are some links to a couple i've found.

I don't want to spend a fortune on one if the cheaper ones will accomplish the same thing with no drawbacks. I don't intend on doing any serious off roading apart from getting a little adventurous while camping or something. Oh, and i have a 2000 4-door LS 4x4. i plan on getting it on 31's sometime in the future, hence the lift. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

IMHO, I have used the $20 set from Advanced Auto, and was extremely satisfied with them. They were basically two 1/2" flat plates of stainless steel with different holes (depending on how much lift, 2/3", you want). I used a third bolt and a spacer in the middle holes for some extra strength even though it was not neccessary. Will be buying the exact same set within the next couple weeks to use on my new (to me) Blazer. Hope this helps.
