Default Torsion bar lift problems. 85 s10 blazer

okay so i just got my 2 in. shackles on yesterday. Went to turn the torsion bars up and am having issues. When I turn the bolt on the passenger side it didnt move (after 7 turns!) I went over to the driver side and turned the bolt twice and got a half inch difference. I'm really unsure as to why the passenger side didnt move and the driver side did. (the passenger side bolt is maxed out now)

Now my poor little truck is still sitting at an angle and i'm trying to get this done tomorrow. Any parts I should check out? Maybe get some new bar keys and bolts? I would appreciate the help thanks guys

BTW I'm planning 2 in. shackle, 2 in. torsion, and a 3 in. body with a nice set of 33 in. baja champions I stole for 100 bucks

Torsion bar adjuster bolts are for adjusting front chassis ride height. If ride height is out of specs, (which it is now that you cranked it), you can expect premature failure of all 4 ball joints, both outer tie rod ends, both front shocks, both torsion bars & CV joints. They are NOT meant to be used as a suspension lift. The $100 you spent on tires will turn into $1000 in repairs, real quick. Now that you have the 33's, get a truck that fits them

Or you can forget the body lift and get a trailmaster 5" lift and do it the proper way

I already know about the pre mature wear on the front end. I'm only looking for a 1.5 inch lift for the front end. and I just installed new tie rods, ball joints and CV's for that reason. thanks but no its not going to cost me 1000 in repairs. it cost me less than 200 and I did it myself in my driveway. I'm just lifting it this way untill I get all the parts for my SAS this winter.

But thanks Giovanni that helps point me in the right direction. New keys and T-bars for me

Hope you got plenty of spare front diffs. 33s gonna kill that aluminum housing pretty quick.

yes I'm a bit weary of taking it off road for now. if anything I'll just play around in 2 wheel on occasion. I've got half my parts for the solid axle swap for the winter. I'll be swapping out the rear for a set of 3.73 gears in the next few weeks though.

As for not being balanced these tires ride pretty smooth.
