2" sus lift does seem somewhat pointless though...unless coupled with a BL and tbar/shackle lift.

thats basically all a 2in SL is. Tbar crank with shackles, and maybe new shocks and worthless control arms

If you pair a 2" SL with a 2" BL and 1-1.5" tbar/shackle you'd be getting 5-6" of lift...but for the price you're going to pay for the SL it seems somewhat pointless not to jump up to a 4" or 6" SL for a few extra bucks. Then you can be in the 8-10" of lift range.
Ohhh the dreams I have of lifting...lol

Okay so what ive gained from this so far, 2" SL are s**t. If all i want is to fit 31" tires, how do I do it for under $2000 for lift and tires, keeping my rims.

um +2" t bar = $50 for alignment
+2" rear shackles = $50 AFTER S&H
+2" BL = $150 (or so)
that leaves roughly $1750 for your tires and a few brews to install all of this..... enjoy

BTW, all of that was covered in this thread AND all over the fourm. poke around the lifting tech page and search a bit. all of this even has photo rich how-tos.
