02 Blazer - Brake Light & Hazzards not working
I already checked the Fusem], Bulbs & installed a new "brake light switch" but still no brake light or hazzards. I read something about a link between the problem and a "multifunction switch" but couldn't find any details.
I am going to attempt to check the wiring before I take it to a mechanic Monday.

Does your third brake light work?
Usually when the mutifunction switch goes you can press the hazzard button to the side and they'll work, untill you let go.
Check with a dealership, I don't recall the specifics, but if the problem is that multifunction switch you should be able to get them to replace it under recall (does not matter if original owner).
The switch is the component that the hazzard button is on. Inside the collumn, you need to pull the steering wheel to replace.
Look for the recall info online and take it to the dealer.
Shouldn't cost you a penny.

Multifunction switch
I just had this problem. I diag the car for 2 days. And found the multifunction switch was bad. 150 bucks and a couple hors of install time and everything was fixed. I have a known good used multifunction switch. if you diag yours and thats the problem id sell it to you for a resonable price.

Easy temp fix
I developed the same problem w/ my '97 Blazer, and I found that a small shim inserted on the right side of the hazard switch works. I used the plastic retainer key from an electrical connector for romex cable. It has ridges on the sides so it should stay put.
