Default 1988 Blazer Dashboard Lights

IT Guy - Complete Car Idiot - this is a great site!

Dashboard lights won't come on. Can someone tell me which fuse I should check and probably replace? (I probably need to clean the headlight switch, too).

Thanks.

I'm working on my 89 Blazer and I think the fuse you're looking for is a 5 Amp fuse labeled "Instr Lps". I'm trying to figure out my problem with my dash lights. I have headlights, but no dash illumination lights. I have the check engine light when I go to start the truck, and I also have blinkers, and I have the Ignition light, but I can't seem to get my dash illumination lights to work. I've been pondering over wiring diagrams from my Hayne's manual but I'm at a loss right now.

greendouglash would be correct in telling you your problem is probably the 5 amp fuse for "Inst Lps.
