Default 1993 blazer full size 2 door cassette wire cut..

Hello everyone I have a 1993 blazer full size 2 door. When I went back home on leave I decided to work on my blazer. I was installing a touch screen radio in it. I had the cassette player hanging out with the wire attached to it. For some reason my buddy thought it would be a good idea to cut it with a pair of schnipps he had on hand while the battery still hooked up to it...This set my whole project back and I couldn't finish it. I re routed the wire to the engine bay. I believe it's fried I'm not sure I looked to see if their was any fuse blown and their werent...what a great friend he is...anyways I was wondering what I should do. Is this something I can do myself or should I get someone to look at it. Like I said I'm not exactly sure what needs to be replaced or fixed. Does any one have any ideas on the matter? Thanks Joe

Are you sure you didn't blow any fuses? There's two different fuses that will affect the radio in there. One will probably be labled radio (if the label is still there) and I believe the other will be part of the dome light circuit.

Yeah I remember buying a fuse kit and going through every fuse. Only one that needed replacing was the one for the hatch switch.

This is a bit off topic but just wanted to make sure that it would fit my 1993 blazer full size 95-99 Chevy Tahoe/88-98 C/K Altezza Black/Smoke Tail Lights Lamps Pair
Says 95-99 tahoe but does c/K include blazers of those years? Thanks again Joe.

With your radio question, if I'm remembering correctly it has 2 different pieces: one small squarish one beside the dash cluster, and another in the center with the air vents. if you follow the harness down, there is a module above the gas pedal. That's actually the radio amp. That's where you'll find the plugs with power, acc, ground, speakers, etc. You can get a harness adapter for $10 from anywhere that sells electronics that will plug directly into it so you don't have to hack up the factory harness.

The wiring harness didn't do anything. I still get no power to the unit.
