Thumbs down 1994 Blazer lost all power

My 1994 blazer is a plow truck. I noticed the guages started acting up and within 30 seconds bam.. all dead. no lights, nothing. Got out loosened the battery cables checked them and retightened them up. I dont have my volt meter or a test light so i just took a small wire and crossed the battery terminals and i have power at the battery. Cables appear to be fine. I am at work in dress clothes so I have to wait until the end of the day to climb under and check the starter. Any ideas of a relay that I can check?

Okay i figured it out the small power wire from the battery was broken inside where it bolts on. I actually just cut it off crimped and soldered a new end on and bolted it on and I am up and running
