Default Headlights flickering on 96 Blazer

I have a '96 Blazer that has developed an annoying quirk. After a period of time, the main headlights flicker on and off, leaving me temporarily only with my daytime running lights. I hear a clicking in my glove box where I believe the headlight relay is located, and if I leave my glove box open for a while, the flickering stops. This is the first winter I have owned the truck, and the problem started about the same time I started using my heater. Everything in the glove box is extremely warm to the touch, and I figured by cooling down the relay I was solving the problem. It worked for a while, but now it doesn't seem to matter if the glove box is open or closed. I've been stopped a couple of times now by the car ahead of me to ask why I'm flashing my lights at them, as well as by a peace officer who thought I was warning on-coming vehicles of his presence. Not only do the main headlights go off, but also the rear tail lights. Any idea's or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also having the same problem, and looking for a solution. It happened most recently on the freeway. Battery is still new. Not sure if it's the bulb or the wiring. The green headlight symbol on console is off all the time, except when the lights flicker, then the green symbol flickers on and off too.

Might be a grounding issue.
