Default 1996 4 3l v6 alternator wiring

The harness was cut to getting the engine. Did I use the right 12v ignition wire for the plug? The alternator is not charging. Can I just jump this straight to 12v? Also this is swap in a 1981 toyota.

Do not connect your alternator to your battery with an unfused wire, you can start a fire or do major damage. All the original factory wiring contain inline fusible links. If someone shorted a power wire any one of them can be blown. What is the voltage at the output terminal of the alternator with the engine running? Then measure the battery voltage at the terminals while the truck is running. Meter negative to battery ground for all measurements.

didnt know it came with a fusible link, all power and ground wires were cut or removed. Voltage just drops, I can get to run for little while off of my jump pack but it eventually just dies out. But the cripped wires were they the right wires for the plug on alternator?

So the blown original engine from your Blazer was a 2.2L and went into a Toyota and you put a 4.3L engine in your Blazer from another Blazer? What year is the engine that sits in your truck now? What year is your truck? Where did the alternator come from? Also I need a picture of the back of the alternator so I can see the wiring and connector better. What power and ground wires were cut?

noooo, 22r blow up in toyota pickup so I got a 1996 blazer that had the 4.3l with nv3500 and i swapped it into the toyota pickup. New power cable to the starter, cable to the alternator and new grounds from the block to frame. The main power to relay box was cut but long enough to run to battery
