Default 1996 Gauges work but no lighting?

I unplugged my under hood light from my 96 blazer because I never really had use for it. Shortly after it was getting dark while i was driving and flipped my lights on. My gauge lighting did not come on but my gauges and fog and headlights still worked. As does my dome light. No fuse is blown and my seat belt and brake light and check engine light still all work in the ACC position of my ignition. My radio and all work. I plugged back in the under hood light and now that doesn't work. Can someone please give me some ideas! I overheated my truck driving it home in the dark and flipping on the dome light, soon to find out today I need to replace my water pump. I need my lights!

Nope, nothing on the dash. The climate controls are still dark.
The dome light still comes on when i open the door. But nothing else.

Well, my dome light works from my dimer switch. Did your dome light still work when it broke?

i was skeptical to replace the switch at first because the domelight still worked, but after i tore the dash apart and tested the switch that was the problem

Okay, so after getting the pump and all back on, i went through my fuses and double checked them.
It turned out i went over and missed a fuse. I feel dumb haha
