I need help....... had to replace intake manifold gasket on my truck. Got that done put the truck back together and now the truck wont do anything, no lights no power nothing. Took the battery out had it charged and I still get nothing. Replaced the fusable links still getting nothing...... Any ideas on what to do next?

 

Just found that I am not getting any power to the junction box??? Is that something that would cause the truck not to start at all???

 

make sure you have the power wires on the back of the alt on right, when we did a crank in a 97 LS my son put one as ground and had the same prob

 

That was my first thought! Your 97 should have 3 fuse links on the rear of the alternator. One of them goes to the junction block, and it needs to have battery voltage at all times, (it feeds all of the wires on the junction block). One comes from the battery positive. One goes to the starter relay.
