Default Can't enter key fob programming mode.

'I have a '97. Lost the fob some time ago. I have encountered three methods of programming, but none work:
- cycle key on/off twice while holding unlock
- bumper 4 & 8 pins on OBD II
- Locate red programming bumper inside lower dash panel (doesn't exist).

Any thoughts?

I've attached a scan of the pages in my 1999 S/T Service Manual on the Keyless Entry system. Maybe this will help. Let us know if it works for you.

yeah, that is a bit different system, I think. Also, notably, I do not have RPO code AU0, but I DEFINITELY had functional keyless In the past.

I've also discovered that where the RKE module is supposed to be (in the kick panel near the OBD II) is actually an interior light module, NOT an RKE module. Where else might it be located if it worked in the past?
