2000 Blazer SES Bulb
I am confused as yo why you are asking which "bulb" it uses. Are you trying to remove it so you dont need to figure out why it comes on?
There should be codes stored that an auto parts store will scan for free so you can fix the problem of why it is coming on.

Yes. That is exactly what is happening. I failed my inspection because it decided not to come on when the mechanic started the car.
So I seem to have solved the issue. My check engine light came on for an evap issue. While the code was still present the SES light came on like normal when I turned the key to the "on" position. I cleared the code and the light stopped turning on when I started the car.
I replaced the "Instrument" fuse in the passenger compartment fuse block. It didn't appear to be blown but after changing the fuse the light functions correctly when the key is in the "on" position and the car is started.

Clearing the codes will turn off the SES light and clear the monitors. The SES light will remain off if there are no hard faults present, (open circuit, faulty part etc). If a functional problem in the EVAP system is detected when the monitor runs, the light will come back on. EVAP is one of the more difficult monitors to run and complete during normal everyday driving. It can take days, weeks, or even months to run and complete. Performing a General Motors Driving Cycle will force all monitors to run and complete. After the drive cycle, check the monitor status on a scan tool to verify that you performed it correctly, and that the monitor did in fact run and complete.
