2001 Blazer Trailer E-brake wiring
Hi
I am at my wits end here and desperately need some help.
I am the original owner of a 2001 4WD 4DR Chevy Blazer equipped with the heavy-duty trailer option. I have located the 8-wire pig tail harness for trailer connector in the rear of the truck and wired them for a 7-blade connection. I am having a devil of a time finding the other end of the wires to connect the e-brake mechanism in the dash area. I have removed the hush plate on the driver side and found no loose pig tail. I did find an odd connector with a very light gage brown, green, blue and a black wire feed but not the same as in rear. I have also looked around the glove box to find same. Nothing. I have searched high and low online including these links.

I have taken truck to dealer and they were NO help in locating the ends of the rear end of the obviously installed harness.
PLease help. Why must locating a factory install be more time consuming than installing after market circuit?

is the small plug you found attached the bottom of the large steering column plug junction with the 7mm bolt through the center? if so you can rule that out, that's the plug for the factory steering wheel radio controls
sorry I cannot be of any more help with the trailer wiring, I just put on a new 4 pin plug on mine yesterday and found there to be 6 wires coming from the rear of the truck on the factory harness, I have no idea what the other two wires are for :/

I would likely run my own wires to power the trailer brakes regardless
More often than not the supply wire is not heavy enough gauge
Take a look at Trailer hitch, hitches and bike rack (800)298-8924
They have pretty decent video for installation of controllers
