2002 blazer trouble
ok here it is i bought a 2002 ls when i was in the truck turned it on everything came on fine then the radio died wouldent come on checked the fuses in the truck when i pull the no 4 fuse out the radio comes back on and the needel gauges quit ie spedo tach oil temp gas . plug it back in and they come on but radio quits. so after checking all fuses around i plug it back in so i can have gauges and now the gas light and temp wont work but the spedo tach and oil pressure does.__so back at square 1 minus some more gagues. thanks for helping

The radio died when you started the truck? im not clear on that part. Is the radio stock or aftermarket?

Are there any other fuses blown? check the other fuses,, leave out the one for the radio temporarily, see if any others are blown if so replace them but dont put the radio one back in yet, make sure the guages work first.. do you poss know if the radio was replaced from aftermarket back to stock b4 you bought it? i`ll see if i can come across any other things that may be causin it .

got it fixed
ok here is what happend for anyone comes across this again. it was the curise control fuse that was blown it was a 10 amp so i put in a 25 amp witch caused the psycial wire to melt at 18 amps so 25 cooked her good.
following that wire leads to the body control module witch is connected or packed with 5 other wires ie temp radio odd nav . so in a sense i cooked them all at the body control module and it was a 1000 fix and 3 different mechanics later. good lesson learned.
i moved into a new place last week and my nebiour had the exact same thing happen to his 02 blazer but the harness caught fire and burned the whole truck. i guess i was kinda luckey then. thanks guys for the help.
