Default '88-93 digital clusters

What is the going price for one. I would like to convert mine to digital, but I don't know what the going price is being paid for them.

Does anyone have one for sale, and for how much?

Pat

They are not a straight swap. There's a signal buffer module to make the digital speedometer work. I would find one at a junkyard so I could get all the components to make it work.

^he might be right,i know I converted mine from digital to analog and everything works. Those digital gauges stink. the power boards die after so long.

I didn't know they were a problem. My '89 Blazer had one factory, and never in all the years I owned it, ever gave me a problem.

Is the signal buffer module, the electronic thing that goes in the tranny instead of the cable.

What should a used cluster sell for? I know I can buy a rebuilt one, or have one rebuilt for $150.00 on up.

Find one from a yard and have it rebuilt, It will be cheaper most likely in the long run.. if it is not working that is.

The most common problem to happen with them is the power supply to the cluster. There is a guy here in MN that sells a kit on ebay with all the needed parts to repair that power supply and very detailed instructions on how to do it.
Also gives you tips and pointers on areas to re-solder which are known to be bad solder joints that fail.

This is where I got the repair kit from.

Now I have NO idea why it is 400+ dollars and I have contacted them asking why since I have gotten this same exact kit from them and it was under 50$.
89 94 Chevy S10 s 10 Blazer Digital Cluster Repair Kit | eBay

Either way, it is still working, if you ebay "89-94 CHEVY S10 S-10 BLAZER DIGITAL CLUSTER REPAIR KIT" you will find a lot of things.
can find even whole power supply's that you can solder in place.

*edit* the reason he put that price so high is because he is waiting for parts and did not want anyone to buy them when he did not have all the parts. Once he gets them the price will drop back to normal.
