Default 96 blazer headlight issue

i have a 96 blazer 4x4 with headlight problems..
the drivers side headlight burns dim the passenger side headlight works fine and when switched to hi beam the passngr side goes to hi beam and the drivers side gets even dimmer........please help...ive checked all fuses and relays all seem good and all grnds are intact replaced headlight with brand new one and still have the same problem.....

you should compare voltage readings from the passenger side as well as Ohms of the power and ground wires. check the wires for a voltage drop accross the power and ground wires live (while the lights are on) to the battery, sounds like excess resistance on the ground wire sence both the high and low are affected. The voltage drop accross the power and ground wire should be no more than 3/10 of a volt. if it is higher then you either have a bad connection somewhere, a corroded or damaged wire. let us know what you find

i found the problem its was a broken ground wire in the factory wiring so i made my own and re grounded the headlight and now its works great.....thanks for the help
