97 blazer no start

Default 97 blazer no start

my 97 blazer had a bad ignition, no instruments worked and key was hot but it would start

replaced the ignition now it wont start, but the instruments work and they key is not needed to turn the ignition switch.

im new to the fourm, thanks guys!

also the battery has to stay on charge constantly or else something kills it.

no spark, but has fuel pressure

Buddy, you need to use the edit feature if no one else has posted and you want to add information.

Are you sure that the new ignition you installed is connected correctly? If it would start before you replaced the ignition then that's where I'd suggest you start. Is the ignition switch sending power to the starter wire when you turn the key?

sorry, new to fourm. but yes, the new ignition is installed correctly, all the gauges now power on (they didnt before) everything works properly now
