Unhappy 98 Blazer Doesn't Crank

After my 1998 blazer sat for a few days while I was out of town, it would crank but not quite start. So after a few hours on the charger, I tried it again. Now when I try to start it, I get one click from the starter and everything goes dead. I got the battery tested, and apparently its a good battery. Oh and I tried jump starting, and it made no difference whatsoever. Any ideas?

Could be your starter. Try tapping it with a hammer then try to start it. Also check your battery cables/terminals. Sometimes it helps to have one person tap the starter and another trying to start it.

That's what I was thinking, although that doesn't explain it being able to crank normally the first time I tried it.

Not more than 5 seconds per attempt, maybe 3 attempts?

Alright it's on route to the shop now. After sitting overnight, it has regained its ability to crank, but still can't start. Exhaust still comes out the back so it's probably not the fuel pump. Any ideas?

if shes cranking now id test the fuel pressure

96+ Fuel System Diagnosis - Blazer Forum - Chevy Blazer Forums

if you have proper fuel pressure and the leak test is alright

you have no spark you can test the spark by removing the coil wire and put it near the coil port

let someone crank the motor for 1 sec and you should see a nice blue spark
