Default 98 Blazer major electrical after dash r&R

Ok long story short, I removed the interior and replaced with new interior.
I used my wiring harness to avoid these issues and I'm pissed.

NO shifter indicator, odometer, heater controls, 4x4 controls in key forward engine run position. This does not matter if truck is running or not.
If I turn headlamps on manually it all works! for short time then starts a flickering the whole system.

No head lights without key forward engine run position!

Anyideas where to start?

Thank you all

sounds to me like a bad ground.. we encounter stuff like this sometimes when we pull a dash when we are doing major structural repairs.

Any suggestions on where to start? Is it possible I screws threw the harness some how?

I encountered this exact same problem after reassembling my 2000 jimmy after a heater core replacement....haven't figured it out yet.

Well, another hour of messing around and I still can't figure it out....everything is plugged in, yet I have dead odometer, speedometer, no stereo or heater controls, tach doesn't work...some of it comes on when I turn the light switch from automatic to interior lighting, still no heater or radio, other than backlighting (at least I know they have power). No blown fuses. No unplugged harnesses that I can find....at least it runs. At this point I'm about ready to screw it back together and drop it off at the shop. I'm really getting tired of spending every free second screwing with this thing.

Perhaps the switch for the light is what's screwed up?

My thought is we've both put a longer screw where it doesn't belong and we screws threw the harness.
I'm getting a constant flicker after about 30 seconds and a
clicking from the engine bay fuse box. I believe it's a blowing circuit breaker that's kicking and reseting itself.

Did you find any ground wires that have to be attached?
