Default 98 GMC Jimmy - Some electrical issue wont start

I have a 98 GMC Jimmy and that wont starting, it Cranks but does not turn over. I noticed that None of the light gauges in the cluster comes on when i turn the key EXCEPT for the Battery, Odometer Mileage and Security light. But 2wks prior I remember driving then all sudden the lights on the cluster came on then off and the vehicle then shuts off, I start up again and it starts (puzzled) but went on my way. Everything seem to work fine until over the weekend I went to start and it would not start. Any reasons why the cluster guages not coming on and not starting?

Your Engine computer is likely not getting power. Sounds much like an ign switch problem.
Start with...
Try rotating through key on several times.
Using meter or test light make sure you have 12v to chassis at both sides all ECM fuses underhood fuse block with key on.

I agree. These symptoms are very indicative of an ignition switch failure. Have a look through the link at the bottom of my signature below for the wiring diagrams involved. I would recommend testing the ignition switch contact resistances by disconnecting the wiring under the steering column and probing the wires that are connected at each of the ignition switch positions. There should be very little resistance across the contacts.

You guys were right it was my Ignition Switch. and I replaced myself felt great finally seen the guages working. After almost 3wks just finally got around to taking the dash under the steering... Got the replacement part at a local junk yard. Thanks for all the suggestions.
