hey I know I am new here but I have this question....


What colors should the wires be coming out of the factory fog light switch?


I've seen different colorings in a few different places...


basically my fog lights quit working and I've checked all fuses, continuity and relays... everything checks out except one wire.


Anyone give me a heads up pls?

 

Orange - momentary ground signal to BCM for on/off control
Black - ground through SP205 to G201.
Gray - interior lighting schematics
PPL - +12V from fog lamp relay in underhood fuse block.

The relay is controlled by the BCM. The BCM inhibits fogs when the high beams are on.

 

I think my BCM is shot... my logic is that I am not receiving a signal from the BCM to the switch to allow it to turn on... there might be a break in that orange wire somewhere or the module is shot...


But here's a good question... If the BCm goes what other symptoms would I see/have?
