Default AD244 alt

Ive been looking to get the AD244 alt for a while to fix my light dimming. Ive done the big 3 so this is the next step. I found one on ebay and was wondering if this is the right model and will bolt right in?

Thanks

from what i read on the listing, i'd say yes.

but like anything else, "check with the supplier to verify" in other words, just because we know that a Yukon has the same alt as a Blazer, doesn't mean that the HO one will. take the model # of our alt & give them a shout (email or @ their #).

this way you won't be guessing (& hoping) it'll fit with no problems.

I went to napa and purchased a new one from a 00-01 Suburban 1500 with the 5.3L. They came with the AD244 alternator which is 145 amps. Also you might need a bigger serpentine belt as well. I found that the 98's come with a belt that is 1" larger than the 99+ 4.3's.
