Default HID Issues

Ok heres the problem, sometimes the hid's in my kc daylighters just flash. Now my setup has a relay so thats not the problem, and sometimes it will work fine and other times it will just flash. So I have checked the fallowing, ground, power wires and switch. When they flash I can flip the switch like 30 times and they will work, now i know this is bad for the balsts but they have a life time warentee so if they break ill send em in. I dont think its a blasts or bulbs because after the switch flipping they work fine.
And suggestions?

You can always swap the bulbs from side to side and see if it's still acting the same. I would guess though that the ballast is on it's way out. ddm?

Well replaced 25 amp relay with 40 amp one and no change. Had a spare set of ballasts so when it was acting up swaped them out and they fired right up. But after I swapped the original ballasts back in and they also fired right up so im stumped.

if i were you i would back probe your power and ground circuit at the connector to the ballast and compare that voltage to the same connector(s) when it working correctly and see if theirs a voltage difference.

Also, if you bought the raptor kit from ddm ($30 kit), they aren't the best made kits out there so you could possibly have gotten a funky set. my set i had in my headlights went bad and nearly caught fire (i had a thread about it, the bulbs would glow bright orange/red after being shut down for 20 minutes). my last kit had a flashy "right" ballast where the head light flickered if i was in gear.

worst case scenario, you buy a new kit for $25
