After Market Door Locks! Help.
#1
I have a 2000 2dr and have had key-less entry installed. My problem Lies with what happens once I'm in the vehicle. The actuators lock the doors after I start the truck and wont unlock until i shut the truck off. I can still manually unlock the doors when she is running but, im lazy and don't like to. heh. I would like to install a door lock switch but i dont know how. I have taken it to a stereo place and they have quoted me 100$ to do it. Too much in my opinion. I know i need the switch and 2 relays and wire. Do i need more? and what do i do?? Help!

There is usually a setting for an alarm to automatically lock doors when the ignition is turned on etc. Should be just a matter of changing in the settings.
I would go to the junk yard and pick up a couple factory door lock switches and wire them in for a factory look.

Heading to the junk yard this weekend for other stuff, I will keep my eye out.
The bigger question is how to wire it up.

The factory PDL switches are easy to wire up, they are pretty simple switches. Another problem though...I think the PDL switch comes only with the power group, so it will also have power window and mirror switches...

Thanks for the info! I have found some good looking switches on amazon and ebay also for less than ten bucks. I will probably go that route and give it a shot.
