Default Alternators: What to look for?

I'm getting ready to upgrade a 2002 s-10 blazer for volunteer firefighting purposes. However, the alternator I have on right now is somewhat acting up with the high and low beams ( I believe it's the alternator.) The beams will pulse in intensity as I'm driving, going from regular to low to almost bright and then back to regular. It's not that it's switching between high and low, it's just that the beans are acting funny.

Anyways, I'm getting ready to put on some led lights and a 200 watt siren with two speakers. My concern comes from wondering whether or not my alternator I have on will be able to power all of that while running en route, or if I need to upgrade to a more powerful alternator. And if so, what brands would be the best? And what should I look out for?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Look for an AD244 out of a fullsize pickup ect between I believe years 00-05. Make sure its the 145amp version (should be stamped on the case) you can get them cheap at yards, or if you want to go new you could find them at a parts store or rock auto.

I personally got my 145amp ad244 out of a 2005 buick rainier with the 5.3L v8.

It will bolt right in, and plug and play. All you will need to do is get about a 7/8th inch longer belt.

Go to rock auto and search up the Part # 91653
Will be a remy 145amp alt, 147.99 for the alt.
but like I said, they are easy to find at a yard if you want to go that way, just make sure its out of a 00-05 full size GM with the 5.3v8. And check the case to make sure its the 145amp version.

AD244 alternator for sure

drops right into factory bracket, plugs right into factory harness, I just had to use a belt that was about 1.5 inches longer, but from what I read there's no set size that works for everyone, it varies
