Default annoying turning signal click.

Ok when my 99 blazer is turned on the turning signal clicking sound is constantly going. neither signal is on or tail light flashing and it only stops when hitting the brakes. If anyone could tell me how to make it stop that would be great.

Very common problem. Ultimately, the multifunction switch is what is causing it, specifically the hazard switch. You may be able to replace just the hazard switch (tech article) for under $20 and cure the problem. A quick search for "clicking+dash+brakes" should turn up a good selection of threads discussing this as well as how to fix it.

I just had to replace the whole multifunction switch assembly for the same problem. Ran me about $150 bucks. Good luck trying to replace just the hazard switch... seems like it would be a pain in the a** to attempt. The new assembly worked out fine. No more clicking!

The hazard switch can be replaced in under 5 minutes from the start to the end. Nothing really difficult about it. Just follow the directions in the Tech Article. Worst case, you spent $15 hoping for a cheap/easy fix and now have to replace the whole multifunction switch.

Mine was corroded quite a bit, wouldn't clean up and work properly so I got a new one. I hope it is just the hazard switch for ya. Cheaper anyway.
