Default back up light issue

96 jimmy. A few months ago I lost my back up lights. I also had an issue with my nss that caused my truck to not start. I brought it to a dealership after I found out my shift cable was binding and they put on the new neutral safety switch. I still had no back up lights but everything else seemed normal. I just recently wired up a trailer connector to the pigtail and now my back up lights come on when I hit my brakes. I tried re-grounding just the back ups and there is no change. I'm not sure if its because of the 7-round connector I put in for the trailer lights or if it is something unrelated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked through forums and schematics and haven't come up with a definite solution.

I know I'm new here and usually I can find some sort of solution to any issue that may come up. I can't find any info on it that helps my situation.
