Default Battery for daily use

has anyone ever used the Gold-Duralast Battery? my battery isn't holding anything. it stalls out my truck if i have my head lights, turn signal and radio tuned up (no sub amp, just 150 watts for speakers). i don't have the money right now to go buy a better battery and wait for it to be shipped in.

its $100 and has an 8 year warranty. i am currently waiting to hear back from work about when i'm going to start but i don't know how long thats going to be.

Optima Red Top is the best battery you can buy, in my opinion. They run around $150 but are well worth it. I have never had any issues with mine, all my vehicles have them.

red tops really aren't that great. They're all made by the same company (duralast, optima, etc).

the duralast gold batterys are decent, if you know anybody that own's a business and has a commercial account with autozone try to get a duralast professional. they're the same as the gold's but usually 40-50% cheaper (most aren't over 60$).

i'm just looking for something to run my 4 channel amp and my truck. when you pull into the gas station and your truck is already off before you put it in park you know you have problems.... that was me tonight. i checked all the wires and they're all nice and snug, no play. although i did get to watch the battery acid drip out of my negative terminal which was something new.

thanks guys

I'm in the same boat, just not quite as big a "leak" as your boat.I watch my volts more than my speed lol. Constantly just under 14v. You know my plans tho.

You know Kinetik batteries work as more than just car audio batts lol. I'm sure you knew that already tho lol.

Have you guys had good luck with kinetic batteries? I bought one for my dual battery setup and it lasted 3 months. It was the racing series too which cost almost 300 bucks. Which reminds me i have to call them tomorrow and see if they will give me a refund.

i've never used it but have heard good and bad. lots of people have had that problem but others have had luck with it so i can't say either way. i know people who have XS batteries and haven't had problems though so.

Nick, why are you running dual batteries again?

well, as of right now all its for it the lights on the roof and the power inverter mounted in the back. That will be changing this winter. I will be adding a winch along with a few amps for speakers and a 10in sub and an onboard air compressor.
