Got the new Yellow Top battery installed myself. Piece of cake. Tray was a little messy, had to clean that up. Car started up on first try. Running good now. Just waiting on new HO Alternator to arrive. Its been about 2 weeks I have waiting on this alternator, oh well. It will be here when it is here.

How'd you get the 34/78 to fit with the radiator in the way ? I have a 2000 blazer and I haven't been able to get any 34 series battery to fit. I having the same issues. I've got a 1400 watt rms system among other things. I've already done the the Big 3 plus the ground to radiator support behind the battery and ground to alternator case via the bracket. And I've replaced my alt with an 130 amp AD244 from a Silverado. My battery and alt still can't really keep up . I've got a Walmart battery right now and would love to know what to use .( Battery and alt combo)

Optima 34/78 yellow top fits perfect in my 04, original hold down secures it firmly

I've had issues with red tops in the past, have yet to have a yellow top let me down though. I've replaced it once in the Blazer because my old one started to swell up. Considering I got it used and it was coming up on about 7 years old, I figured I'd just go ahead and replace it. It was still working perfectly fine despite swelling up lol it was just more-so a peace of mind thing... didn't want it exploding under my hood one day...

I saw where Odyssey makes an extreme top and side post battery the same size as the D75/25 with the same power as the D34/78. I've heard they're better than Optima and I'm not sure which one to get now. Lol Any ideas? Im also not sure what size alternator to get .
