Default Blinker Issues

I have a 94 Blazer, and everytime I turn the left blinker on the windshield wipers turn on and make several passes. It does not do it with the right blinker. I'm thinking its some type of short in the column or something but any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you have a "hair trigger" wiper switch like I do in my '93. Pusing down (left turn) rotates the switch in a clockwise motion and turns the 1st position "on" to the wipers. It will swipe twice then set for 30sec and then swipe once every so often. Pusing "up" (right turn) turns the wiper system off, that's why it doesn't do it. Grab your turn lever as close to the steering column as you can and pust down. I bet it doesn't turn your wipers on. I use back pressure on the wiper switch when turning left cause it isn't worth the trouble to tear the switch apart just for that.
