Default Blinker relay issue?

Got a 98 jimmy. Blinker relay is clicking when blinkers are off. When pressing the brake it stops. If you hit the brakes hard it clicks very rapidly then stops. Left blinker clicks normally when turned on, right blinker does a double click when turned on. The double clicking started a couple months ago and progressed to a constant click. Lights do not flash unless in use. All lights work properly. The clicking makes me wanna rip the glove box apart. Is it the relay? Or column switch? Or do we possibly have a wire malfunction? Which would not surprise me. just wanna be headed in the right direction and not waste money on parts.

Read through this and see if any of this helps.
