Blower wont blow on high. Was in and out a few times now its out and wont come on.
im pretty sure its not the resistor... it bypasses on high and runs thru a relay... where is that relay and how can i test to see if thats my problem?

I think i found it... it wasnt quite in the socket and one leg has been pretty hot... i took some pics...
is there a way to jump the connectors to see if the high comes on?
i know with it unplugged none of the speeds work... plug in and all but high work...
it has 5 legs... i assume one for each speed 1-4 and the incoming 12v... am i right?

What you're holding is a relay. A quick search for 12v relay will give you a pin description for it. George's signature above also has some great info under the 12V Primer link.
You are incorrect that each pin corresponds to a speed. Two pins (85 & 86) control the relay. Typically pin 30 is the power supply. The other two pins are for the controlled accessory. See George's answer below. I'm not sure on your truck for sure how they are wired, but hopefully George or someone has a diagram for that socket and can help further with the diagnosis.

Reason: Incorrect information for this application.
OK, it looks like the ZR2 came with manual controls so:
The relay changes from resistor network power to the motor for the lower speed controls to always on fused full power (no resistor network) to the motor from HVAC Fuse 30A (check that first). The relay is controlled on pins 85 blk/86 org (coil). When in high speed mode power comes in on pin 87 org. When in lower speed/resistor mode power comes in on pin 87A drk blu. The power source that is selected is routed out of the relay on pin 30 ppl. So with the relay removed you would short pins 87 and 30 after confirming power on 87.
