Blower Motor Issue
I am having an issue with the blower motor on my 98 chevy blazer, not quite sure where to start or correct this issue. any help will be greatly appreciated, it is manual control and the high speed setting will not work. i have changed the motor, the resistor, the control ****, and yesterday the relay. sometimes it will come on and it may last a week mostly less. everywhere i have looked online everyone is talking about the resistor, but as i understand and please correct me if i'm wrong the high speed doesn't go through this. again any help is appreciated
All of this applies if high speed is the only speed that is intermittent.
All of the low speeds go through the high blower relay when it is unlatched. When the relay latches, they are bypassed and high speed gets voltage from a separate circuit to the relay. Red wire, hot at all times, 30 amp fuse in the underhood fuse panel. This is a dedicated circuit used only for the high speed. It may have a poor connection between the fuse panel and the relay causing the intermittent high blower. Could be a corroded connection or poor connection at the high blower relay socket.
